Devon Bridgewater and the Nuance Jazz Trio have been a mainstay of the Phoenix jazz scene since 1989, providing their sophisticated jazz at several jazz clubs and area resorts throughout the years, including The Phoenician, J.W. Marriott at Desert Ridge, The Wigwam, The Arizona Biltmore, The Westin-Kierland Resort, The Camelback Inn, The Boulders, The Four Seasons and many other fine establishments throughout the Southwest. He performed with Ottmar Liebert for a year at the Scottsdale Princess.

Devon Bridgewater, a native Phoenician graduated from Harvard University, where he played in the prestigious Monday Night Jazz Band, and has performed with jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Ted Curson. He has played at numerous Boston and New York clubs.

The Arizona Republic awarded Nuance "Best Jazz Performers". Nuance was also mentioned in the July/August 2003 issue of Harvard Magazine and appeared on national television (FoodNation with Bobby Flay, 2007). In addition to his successful music career, Devon is currently writing his Ph.D. dissertation at ASU in History and teaches U.S. History and Mexican American History at Phoenix College and ASU.
