Benefit For Standing Rock And No 202 Resistance says
Good evening to everyone - With the troubling times that we face and experience, we do what we can collectively as individuals in this town that has so many ups and downs to be aware of the issues that have an affect on us and these issues have both cause and affect that is taking place across Indian country and even right here in our very own back yard. Within cultures of resistance, our thoughts are with those who are resisting from a higher catastrophic realm of destruction to Mother Earth and to protect sacred/burial sites, indigenous rights, human rights and justice to those slain by the hands of police.

From oak flats (Apache territory), San francisco peaks, border militarization on O'odham/Yaqui lands, and environmental racism that is taking place on Navajo/Hopi territory and the destruction of South Mountain (Moadag doag) from a proposed freeway to be blown and built into a port of entry, easy commute that will further change on O'odham land which is sacred to the Akimal O'odham/Pii-Pash people, wild life and plant life and our Tohono O'odham relatives further south. We are asking at this time to support those who are up in North Dakota, fighting to protect the water from the Dakota access pipeline which will poison the Lakota nations drinking water and many other communities who depend on water along with animal and plant life, a biodiversity of living beings depend on the living source which is not a resource for profit for capitalism.

We are extending an invitation of support for Standing Rock to help raise relief funds for indigenous/non-indigenous supporters who are on the front lines and to help aid with legal fees and funds for support and also to make aware of the on-going issues here in our town and within the state and create solidarity amongst us as conscious people. The benefit is set for Saturday, December 10th over at 51 west. More info will come shortly.
