The Lab Pop-Up Gallery on Grand Avenue is featuring local illustrator and painter Matt Lu. The show, titled ‘Between Two Points,’ will have it's closing reception on Friday, March 20 at 7pm
A native of Seattle, Wash., Lu is an interdisciplinary illustrator and painter versed in the contemporary traditions of urban and street art. Formally trained as a sculptor at Brandeis University and subsequently as an art educator at Seattle University, Lu currently focuses primarily on precision pen and ink drawings. His subject matters range from traditional Asian-inspired artwork to taxonomic illustrations.
Lu’s work can be found largely in private collections within the US and abroad. He currently resides in Phoenix, AZ. ‘Between Two Points’ is his first exhibition in the Southwest.
