The word “Bonsai” is a Japanese term, which translated as “planted in a container.”
This art form is derived from an ancient Chinese horticultural practice, part of which was then redeveloped under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism. It has been around for well over a thousand years.

Not only will beautiful Bonsai Arts be displayed by Bonsai enthusiasts and talented artists, you will also learn about the philosophy of Bonsai, its cultural background, tools, how to grow miniature tree and much more.
Demonstration will start at 1:30pm by Scottsdale Bonsai Society.
Enjoy beautiful Bonsai arts that embellish the serenity of the strolling Japanese garden in the middle of downtown Phoenix.
