Conservation Workday: Burrowing Owls!

Audubon Arizona says
Volunteers must RSVP for this workday to Cathy Wise, cwise@audubon.org or 602-468-6470 ext. 109

We will be building a release tent over previously constructed artificial owl burrows at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area.
Between 7 & 10 owls will be released into the tent and live within for 30 days (fed daily by Audubon staff). In 30 days, we will remove the tent and hopefully the owls will stay!

Volunteers will gather at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center, located at 3131 S. Central Ave. After a short orientation, we will proceed to the worksite at 7th St.

Please plan to spend the day outdoors! Wear comfortable clothing, bring a hat, a reusable water bottle, and sunscreen. Tools, gloves, and all other materials will be provided.
