Gabriel von Eisenstein is in a predicament. He's due to spend eight days in jail for insulting a local bigwig, but not before he attends an extravagant masquerade ball to do a little flirting. As the night gets out of hand, everyone ends up in jail by the next morning. This comic operetta is a study in revenge and trickery with lush costumes and a sumptuously romantic score. It's a party, and you're all invited.
