Heard Museum says
It’s a time to celebrate all things Frida Kahlo! The night’s fun will include a special choreographed performance by Liliana Gomez inspired by the celebrated 20th century Mexican artist. The works of the Phoenix Fridas, a local Phoenix arts collective, will be featured in a special mercado. Clandestino, an exploration of new and traditional underground tropical rhythms based out of Phoenix, will transform the Steele Auditorium into a musical “Neo-Tropic ecozone” with Latin influences.

Dance, eat in the Courtyard Café or sign up to get your hair braided Frida-style by Palabra Collective with a small donation of $10. And the Heard Museum Shop presents Hispanic painter Ruben Galicia, who will demonstrate his art 6 to 8 p.m. in the Central Courtyard. Museum admission is free and now it's even easier to visit. The museum is now part of the ArtLink trolley system!

When: Friday, November 6
