Time Out says
“Flowered”
John Randall Nelson
Gebert Contemporay, Scottsdale, AZ
March 12th – April 6th
In this exhibition entitled “Flowered”, botanical vernacular extends beyond science to provocatively touch on the metaphors of romance, fecundity and life cycles. Nelson’s paintings and drawings are studies of language and iconography as code to human behavior. Here the analogy between animal, plant and human reproduction represents “blooming” romance and the abundant fertility of flora, fauna and humanity.
