-- What to expect? --

Our networking mixers are a great way to meet fellow members as well as the LFA staff. Meetings are held once a month from 6 – 8 p.m. The first hour is dedicated to networking and at 7 p.m., we speak about everything that is happening within the organization and the local movement. We also hold a drawing for door prizes. If you would like to donate a door prize, (min. value $25), email: Kendall@localfirstaz.com. Light appetizers & beverages provided.

We will also be holding a Membership 101 Session just before the mixer at 5:30PM. Both new & current members are invited to attend the session and learn how they can get the most out of their membership.

Newtworking mixers are free to attend for LFA business coalition members but we encourage attendees to bring electronic waste that will be recycled with eGreenITsolutions, LLC. Acceptable items include cell phones, batteries, printers, chargers, audio equipment and more (you can find a full list here). Please note that CRT computer monitors & TVs are accepted but before bringing those items please contact Katie Campbell – 602 944-4151 at eGreen IT Solutions to make the donation for the fee to recycle them properly. If you have any questions about items that are not on the list or in general, please email kharris@egreenits.com. You will also receive an extra entry into our drawing for door prizes when you bring e-waste.

-- About our Host: Desert Botanical Garden --

A “Phoenix Point of Pride”, the Desert Botanical Garden is one of only a few botanical gardens accredited by the American Association of Museums. It is a privately funded, nonprofit organization and depends on revenues from admissions and gift shop sales, as well as contributions from individuals and businesses to fund its programs of environmental education, plant conservation and research.

Desert Botanical Garden is graciously opening admittance to its class that night with “rockstar” Director of Horticulture, Brian Kissinger, to Local First AZ members along with its Monarch Society members. This class will be held from 6:00-6:45p in Dorrance Hall, next to our event space. More details to follow; you will note your interest in the class on the RSVP link.
