Living Room Session Los Cambalache says
Please join the Phoenix Hostel & Cultural Center, Cultural Coalition, and Son Jarocho Collective, for the third LIVING ROOM SESSIONS with Chicano-Jarocho group, Los Cambalache.

Cambalache (a word meaning “exchange”) is based in East Los Angeles, founded in 2007 and led by Cesar Castro (Master Luthier Sonero and Jarocho from Veracruz, Mexico). Cambalache promotes traditional Son Jarocho music through concerts, presentations and workshops. In the spirit of the fandango, a traditional celebration based on music and dance, Cambalache invites the public to participate in their presentations. Their educational objectives include presentations ranging from primary schools to universities, museums and music festivals.

This event is being co-sponsored by Cultural Coalition and Son Jarocho Collective. Cultural Coalition is a group committed to providing educational programming to promote Indo-Latino arts in Arizona. You can learn more about them at: Son Jarocho collective is a vibrant group of inter-generational students from Phoenix who are learning the musical tradition of Son Jarocho.
