"Maker" is a feature-length documentary on the Maker Movement and its impact on society, culture and economy in the U.S. From the producers of the internationally acclaimed “Design & Thinking,” “Maker” is a feature-length documentary that looks into the current Maker Movement in America – a new wave of Do-It-Yourself and Do-It-Together culture fueled by passion and powered by the advent of new technologies.

The film includes scenes from the Valley's own Local Motors in Chandler, where makers build their own cars with the high tech fabrication and old school wrenching.

At this event, we'll make together and watch together. We will collaborate on interactive mapping, documenting how we move through, write, and make our city, before enjoying the film ‘Maker’, a documentary on the maker movement.

Meet at FilmBar at 11:00am to join the morning group if you can't make it to the bike ride portion of the event. We'll gather together for brunch and mapping, then watch the film.
