Every First Friday, Phoenix Art Museum offers free general admission and discounted special exhibition admission* from 6 - 10PM.
This First Friday, we celebrate the opening of Samurai: Armor from The Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection! Learn more:

Happenings, Performances and Installations:
6 – 10PM: Enjoy an Ikenabo of Arizona display, a photo opportunity with an installation, 1000 Cranes for Ishinomaki (Cyanotyped Origami Cranes), by Airi Katsuta, and a cash bar.

Traditional Japanese taiko drumming by Ken Koshio

7 - 8PM - Whiteman Hall Poetry reading by Forrest Gander and local opener Giancarlo Huapaya. Followed by a short Q&A session and a book signing in front of The Museum Store.
