Collective Presentation

After three years in their current building, Palabra is evolving to a new, not yet disclosed location at the end of the year. "Adios" is a group exhibition saying farewell to the building that housed Palabra's beginnings while celebrating its growth through eleven artists, including many previously featured by the collective. A few of the artists, such as Sentrock or Rebecca Green have since relocated to major cities like Chicago and Nashville, making "Adios" an eclectic show not only in terms of styles, but also geographically as it features artists from across the U.S. with roots in Phoenix.

Since its beginning, owner and curator Jorge Ignacio Torres has hand selected artists that represent a unique interpretation of talent in the city. "Adios" offers a look at his curatorial vision over the past three years and celebrates the collective's growth before moving to a new space— and the next chapter.
