We're starting 2017 off in the roaring 20's. Join us for this adults-only event as we travel back in time to the prohibition era featuring science with a Speakeasy twist. Dress as a flapper, bootlegger or gangster. Enjoy food, music and specialty cocktails including Highball and Gin Ricky while roaming all four levels of the Center.
Shh...this speakeasy is for adults 21 and over.

Join these shenanigans, inspired by the Prohibition era:

-Swing, Foxtrot or do the Lindy Hop throughout the evening as DJ Joseph Mercado mixes the 1920s with 2017 electronic beat

-Try a Gin Ricky, Highball or Dark and Stormy–popular Prohibition cocktails*

-See special science demos with a speakeasy twist

-Dress up as a flapper, gangster or bootlegger and enter the 1920s Costume Contest | 8:45 p.m.

-Learn about Arizona during the Prohibition with Marshall Shore, Hip Historian | 7 p.m.

-See National Parks Adventure in our Giant Screen Theatre* | 8:30 p.m.

-Experience Pink Floyd The Wall laser show in the Dorrance Planetarium* | 9:15 p.m.

Enjoy down home soul food from Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles, famous for their southern fried chicken, fluffy waffles and soul food. Savor fried chicken accompanied with either mac-n-cheese or green beans for only $6. Cash only.

New Cocktail Trends –sponsored by Az. Cocktail Week
Throughout the evening, guests will get a chance to learn new cocktail trends from industry experts, Brian Goodwin, Gladly mixologist and owner of Artisan Ice, and Matthew McCullough from the Cocktail Festival. Also, chemistry and physics come into play as Slipstream Absinthe demonstrates how the science of "louching" works.

Arizona Cocktail Week, February 17-24, is a week-long celebration of the craft of the cocktail that includes everything from parties, spirit tastings, educational seminars, cocktail competitions, drinks specials, dinners, etc
