St. Francis Xavier Service Project: Ozanam Manor Fundraiser

Advertising

Time Out says

Meet John: He is an 8th grader at St. Francis Xavier who has been tasked with creating, organizing, and holding a public fundraising event for a charity of his choice. John has chosen Ozanam Manor, SVdP's bridge shelter, after volunteering at our main campus a few times and reading about Frederic Ozanam. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the good food, watch sports on big screen TVs, play trivia games, or simply socialize and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. A percentage of all food and drink profits sold during the event time frame will be donated to the fundraiser. John has started planning the event with only $20, but he hopes to raise at least $300, and hopefully more. There will be a donation jar available for additional cash donations during the fundraiser, and John will be selling raffle tickets for chances to win a gift basket of sports memorabilia items, movie tickets, and other items. With the total funds he raises, John will be purchasing much needed items for the shelter, including pillows, bedding, toiletries, etc., and personally delivering them.
