Join the Klezmatics as they celebrate thirty years together! For the group, this is a time both to look ahead and to reflect. These six musicians, each playing their own brand of klezmer, have transformed the course of Jewish music around the world. Klezmer is the nineteenth-century Eastern European Yiddish music that has undergone a revival in recent decades, thanks in a large part to the tireless efforts of the Klezmatics. In 2016, the Klezmatics made history after winning a GRAMMY Award for their Woody Guthrie–inspired project, Wonder Wheel. They are the only Jewish music group to win a GRAMMY.

From the beginning of their career, the Klezmatics have demonstrated that klezmer is a vital part of the spectrum of world dance music and culture. Approaching their fourth decade together, the Klezmatics continue their redefinition of the music that they have utilized as a voice for social justice and change. They continue their dominance in this genre with their latest album, Apikorsim/Heretics.

“This is the Klezmatics now, constantly growing,” Frank London (trumpeter for the band) proudly says, “redefining klezmer, setting the bar higher for those who play this music, We are at the top of our game.”
