Of all the Irish Pubs around our Valley of the Sun, The Dubliner Irish Pub is one of my favorites. It has a feel to it of home for some reason.. peaceful. The Dubliner has been home to Scott Jeffers on Wednesday nights for a lot of years when he's in town and not traveling around the world nearly getting himself killed. The whole band will be playing this Friday night from 9pm-1am.

Traveler has 16 albums, folks. This music covers most of the planet which makes the name of this band rather fitting. If you love the violin you have found your band.. because the violin plays the lead role. And since the violin can be found all over the planet it includes the obvious Celtic, then Middle Eastern mixed with a generous helping of metal, Greek, Jewish.. even music of the far east and music with a definite Spanish feel to it. Gypsy music influences the music as well to include American Blues and folk. The music is upbeat and never so loud that I've ever been driven from the place. The cool thing about this band is the more people that are there, the better it is for some reason. The music is never too slow, it's great for dancing alone or as a couple and it never pauses unless the band is on a break. In addition, the cover music that Traveler does is done with respect for the music and for it's place in our history with talent that is a joy to watch.

If you haven't seen a Traveler show then this Friday make your way down to The Dub and watch the guys put on a show that is not easily forgotten.

While you're at it, like our page, Traveler World Fusion Music, so you can get an invitation to the shows that are coming up.

We hope to see you at the Dub this weekend! Cheers!!
