Join us this Halloween for a SPOOKTACULAR time filled with guests' favorite spooky demos including Boo Bubbles and Exploding Pumpkins! Don’t miss Arizona Science Center’s newest featured exhibition, DINOSAURS IN MOTION which includes a 44’ metal T-Rex created by North Carolina artist, John Payne. Monster of the Cosmos and Nightwalk Halloween will be playing in the Dorrance Planetarium after other shows (will vary depending on audience ages).

Activities and Demos happening on Halloween included with general admission:

• Dissect a Scarecrow– an engaging activity where kids get to dissect a scarecrow and learn more about the human body in the process.

• Special Effects Lab– Join the team in creating your own mini scary scene. Use a green screen, fake wounds, live sound effects, and even maybe a little fire to create your own spooktacular story!

• Giant Bat Ears– Guests can come try on the custom made bat ears and see what it’s like to have exceptional hearing. Try your hand at echo-location using ears that are nearly 3 feet long!

• Boos and Goos– The Science Center will be making a variety of glow in the dark slimes, goos, and boo bubbles. Learn about polymers, non-Newtonian fluids, and the physics of bubbles through hands on exploration.

• Liquid Nitrogen Pumpkin Explosions – who wants an old pumpkin to rot? Why not blow it up with a gigantic messy explosion, powered by liquid nitrogen!

• Flesh Eating Beetles– Come see the Science Center’s newest living exhibit in the form of Flesh Eating Beetles. Watch our colony of hundreds of beetles clean the tissue off of skulls and skeletons. Running all month long! Be sure to check back in and see our bone collection growing!
