Title: Making stuff move!

For this workshop Shahab Sagheb will be presenting various techniques for controlling motors using Arduino and Max/MSP, topic s covered includes working with DC, Servo and Stepper motors. After a brief introduction of the Arduino environment, participants will have individual and group projects connecting different parts and shapes and will be using motors to bring them to life!

*All equipment for this workshop will be provided. For this reason, participation is limited to 10, so make sure to pre-register.

Shahab Sagheb is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of Art, design and engineering. In his practice he attempts merging different disciplines to devise a new medium capable of conveying various messages. He has been involved with many engineering and design practices; his portfolio consists of examples of product design, interior design, 3D illustration, interactive installations, video and kinetic sculpture. Shahab holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MA in Industrial Design, currently he is a MFA candidate with Digital Technology concentration at Arizona State University.
