Time Out says

What is it?

One of the most internationally popular Port wine brands, so it makes sense there is a museum dedicated to it.

Why is it worth visiting?

Here, you’ll learn about Don, the mythical, mysterious man in black from the Sandeman logo with the Spanish sombrero and the Portuguese student cape, created in 1928. The museum has a collection of handcrafted bottles from the 17th and 18th centuries, and you can also tour the cellars and join in a wine tasting at the end.

How much is it to visit?

There are three tiers to the pricing at Sandeman Museum-Cellar.

Porto Sandeman Visit (50 min and tasting of 3 ports): €22
Sandeman 1790 Visit (One hour 30 minutes and tasting of 5 ports): €32
Sandeman Old Tawnies Visit” (One hour 30 minutes and tasting of four older tawny ports): €50
