From rooftop food and drink festivals to major concerts and lively neighborhood celebrations, there’s no shortage of ways to fill your days with good eats, live music and a little bit of Bay Area energy.   This weekend, Suds Francisco takes over Salesforce Park with a funk-and-fermentation festival featuring breweries, wineries, cideries, fermented foods, live music and DJs, Noah Kahan brings The Great Divide Tour to Oracle Park on Friday with Gigi Perez and Annabelle Dinda, and Oakland Chinatown StreetFest returns for two days of local vendors, food and drinks, cultural performances and live entertainment across three stages.  

San Francisco knows how to make a weeknight feel like anything but routine. Between comedy, neighborhood happenings, and easy excuses to eat and drink your way around town, the city is giving you plenty of reasons to make plans before Friday rolls around.This week, Michael Che trades Studio 8H for Cobb’s Comedy Club, bringing his famously dry, sharp-edged stand-up to San Francisco. Cole Valley Nights: State Fair gives the neighborhood a playful dose of county-fair nostalgia with local food, games, music, and community fun, while California Dreamin’: Noe Valley Summer Wine Walk turns an evening stroll through the neighborhood into a roaming tasting, with local businesses pouring wines along the way.

The week ahead brings the kind of big-name entertainment and major productions that make staying home a hard sell, with plenty happening both in the city and just beyond it.This week, Diana Ross brings a lifetime of Motown classics and pop anthems to Wolf Trap's Filene Center, The Notebook opens its D.C. run at The National Theatre, bringing Nicholas Sparks's sweeping love story to the stage with an acclaimed score by Ingrid Michaelson, and Foo Fighters take over Nationals Park on the Take Cover Tour.
