Heath Newsstand will elevate your daily reading essentials

Heath Ceramics is opening up a new space connected to their Mission District showroom, but instead of perfectly formed plates and bowls, this one will be selling the written word. Heath Newsstand will stock local, national and international newspaper and magazines, to keep us informed and inspired.

When you pop in to pick up your favorite daily paper or elegant coffee table journal you’ll also be able to pick up drinks and snacks (perhaps if you need something to munch on while you wait to place your order at Tartine Manufactory, right next door), flowers by La Fleuriste, and a selection of stationery and greeting cards.

What inspired the Heath team to branch out into this new daily-essentials venture? "A great newsstand creates a regular neighborhood stopover that builds a stronger sense of community," Catherine Bailey, the owner and creative director of Heath Ceramics, said in a statement announcing the project.

Once you’ve gathered up all that reading material, you’ll need a tote to carry it all home, so be sure to check out their new line of bags and travel accessories, Heath Sews, also available in the Newsstand.

Heath Newsstand is located within Heath San Francisco at 2900 18th Street. Hours are Sunday–Wednesday, 8am–6pm and Thursday–Sunday, 8am–7pm. Heath Newsstand will be soft open with limited stock until the official grand opening in late April.
