San Franciscans looking for the next chic speakeasy should head to Chinatown.

SF's massive new food and shopping emporium China Live is opening a hidden upstairs lounge called Cold Drinks, where discerning cocktail hounds will find a sleek black marble bar and tuxedo-clad bartenders. Low-lighting and seriously boozy cocktails inspired by the flavors of Chinatown add to the Prohibition-era vibe.

Coming together! Cold Drinks - all day, every day. #checkyourkilt

Led by beverage director Duggan McDonnell, the bar overlooks bustling Broadway and will focus on whiskey cocktails.

“There are a lot of people who find scotch inapproachable. In order for it to be fun, it needs to have things people like to order—every cocktail needs to be a bridge to a new audience,” McDonnell told Eater.

Interested drinkers should get ready to spend a pretty penny for the experience. Cocktails start at around $16. And while Cold Drinks has yet to offer a food menu, a smattering of available snacks will be available soon.

Cold Drinks hasn't officially opened, but is currently serving up drinks nightly from 4pm to 1am. Follow the bar on Instagram for more updates.
