Time Out says

Vimukthi Sahan’s exhibition titled ‘Humeurs’ (French term for ‘Mood’) reflects the inner feelings of humans, like a mirror. The moods of many modern individuals are gloomy due to the frustrated modern capitalism of the contemporary society. They create nonrealistic tar- gets and those ultimately create dissatisfaction, which leads us to follow superstitions and metaphysics. It directs us to be entangled in this material calamity and to gather unlimited hopes about material values. This also fuels the dissatisfaction we observe within the contemporary political economy of the country. Dis- satisfaction has altered our moods from happiness to unhappiness. The artist attempts to reveal this hidden political and economical crisis and create awareness by visualising these moods in his works of art.
