Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday takes place on April 16.

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which marks the end of the Lent Season. Christ is believed to have risen from the dead on the 3rd day after the crucifixion. In Catholic churches, the Easter Vigil is celebrated the preceding Saturday night. On Sunday, the resurrection is celebrated at church. During High Mass, Catholic’s reaffirm their Baptismal vows. Easter is a time of celebration for all Christians. The day is spent with family and friends with lunches, dinners as well as Easter egg hunts for the children.
