Chingu is bringing Korean BBQ to Slussen

Korean BBQ is based on a simple idea: you grill the food yourself, at the table, with whoever you came with. Simple, fun and very tasty. Chingu, which means friend in Korean, has been following that formula on Mäster Samuelsgatan. In spring 2027, they’ll open their second restaurant in Mälarterrassen by Slussen: 680 square metres with views over Lake Mälaren and Gamla stan.

Behind it all is SIN Group, which also runs Sin Ramen in Moodgallerian and Slakthusområdet, and is opening its third ramen bar in Söderhallarna on 23 October. A group that’s not exactly standing still, then.

Chingu will be the fifth of six planned restaurants at Mälarterrassen. Villa Valentina, Brasserie Astrid and Tommy Myllymäki and Pi Le’s have opened since May, while Desirée Jaks and John Wenström’s British pub is on the way. One space remains. The property owner Atrium Ljungberg is also promising a music and culture venture, which will be unveiled later this autumn.

Chingu opens at Mälarterrassen by Slussen in spring 2027.
