Forget everything you know about dusty museum sculptures and glass display cases. On October 22, Bergrummet’s 2,500-square-metre space beneath Skeppsholmen will be transformed into a prehistoric landscape as DINOS Experience opens its doors.

According to the organisers, the space has been completely transformed to give visitors the feeling of stepping into a prehistoric world filled with sound, light, wind and even smells. The exhibition, which features more than 2,000 plants, will also be home to 26 life-size animatronic dinosaurs, two complete skeletons and three skulls, as well as a bistro and bar.

‘We strongly believe in physical experiences at a time when more and more of our lives take place through a screen. There’s enormous power in creating places that people want to travel to, talk about and experience together,’ says Janne Broman, co-founder of DINOS Experience, in a press release.

Tickets are already available to book in advance. Adult admission costs SEK 195, while tickets for children aged three and over cost SEK 145.
