Hotel bars are rarely where you go to discover new music. Haymarket by Hötorget wants to change that. This autumn, cocktail bar Americain will become a stage on Wednesday evenings, from 21.00 to 22.00, under the name Haymarket Live.

Live music is nothing new here. The hotel is already known for its Thursday jazz nights, and its whole 1920s identity is built around jazz, swing and big bands. The difference this time is the direction: new Swedish artists instead of old classics.

First up on Wednesday 16 September is Klara Almström, who came third on Idol in 2022 and made her Melodifestivalen debut earlier this year. Then it continues through to the end of November, with ten artists most people have yet to hear of – which, of course, is the whole point.

Americain is located inside Haymarket by Scandic at Hötorget. Free entry.

Here’s the Haymarket Live line-up for this autumn:

16 September – Klara Almström
23 September – Tetteris
30 September – Si Evol
7 October – Engla Li
21 October – Claire Soukup
28 October – Wilma Vidal
4 November – Frida Mirage
11 November – Klara Zangerl
18 November – Amirae
25 November – Emmalisa Hallander
