Since launching four years ago, Kollektivet Livet has grown into one of Stockholm’s best live music venues. With two stages one floor up in Stadsgårdsterminalen, its bookings can range from Norwegian black metal to Swedish indie pop. Now Kollektivet Livet is also taking over the ground floor.
Just like the bookings on the stages above, the new space is eclectic. In a good way. They call it an indoor bar street, and the contents certainly live up to that:
Board games and darts? Of course.
A tattoo artist for spontaneous ink? Sure.
A bookable party room with karaoke, built around the idea that all good parties end up in the kitchen anyway? Yes please.
A mini casino named after punk band Tysta Mari, a workshop and what they themselves call “Sweden’s most visited gallery” in the toilet? Why not.
Plus sandwiches and beer.
Every Friday and Saturday between 22:00 and 03:00, there will be dancing in Slottet, as the DJ booth is called. Both it and the bar counter are made from old stage decor from Oscarsteatern. Entry to Hallen is free, while gigs on the stages above cost as usual.
The opening party takes place on Saturday, September 12. The doors open at 16:00, the party kicks off at 20:00 and runs until 03:00, with Dekis Records and Endiable behind the decks.
Kollektivet Livet is located in Stadsgårdsterminalen by Slussen. Hallen opens on September 12 and entry is free. Opening hours: Tuesday: 16:00–23:00, Wednesday–Thursday: 16:00–01:00, Friday–Saturday: 16:00–03:00. Keep an eye on Hallen’s Instagram for more updates.
