The answer is Kristineberg. Just 10,500 people get on or off here each day, while T-Centralen, unsurprisingly, is the busiest station, with more than 305,000. That means you’ll almost always find a seat, and you’ve probably never, or very rarely, got off here.

According to SL statistics for 2025, obtained by Mitt i, Kristineberg on Kungsholmen is the least-used underground station in central Stockholm, with 10,500 daily entries and exits. In second place is Zinkensdamm, squeezed between Hornstull and Mariatorget, followed by Thorildsplan. None of the stations is a major interchange, and relatively few people live or work in the surrounding areas.

So, is Kristineberg facing closure? No. SL says there are no such plans. Your seat is safe.

2. Zinkensdamm – 13 300
