Time Out says

You’ve seen this year’s roundup of Asia’s 50 Best Bars, but have you ever wondered what might happen if these award-winning establishments were to join forces? Find out this weekend at the SG Cocktail Summit – a one-night bar extravaganza hosted by the SG Group, where Tokyo’s best bartenders will come together to serve specially crafted drinks in Shibuya.

The event will span all of the SG Club’s Shibuya venues, which include The Bellwood, The SG Club, SG Low, Swrl and the newly opened Ash. This is an especially exciting event for the city’s cocktail lovers as the participating bartenders not only include local legends like Bar Trench’s Rogerio Igarashi Vaz and Bar Benfiddich’s Hiroyasu Kayama, but also famed mixologists from outside of Tokyo.

Keisuke Yamamoto and Toru Ariyoshi from the Bee's Knees, for instance, will be travelling all the way from Kyoto to show off their best flair bartending moves. Meanwhile, Michito Kaneko from Lamp Bar will be coming to serve cocktails that earned his Nara bar the No. 20 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars.

The night isn’t all about booze, mind you. Alongside its exclusive drink menu, the event will also offer a collaborative bar food menu created by award-winning chef Yoshihiro Narisawa and the team at restaurant Florilège

Pre-sale tickets can now be purchased at The Bellwood and The SG Club. Drink and food tickets cost ¥1,100 each, while a bundle of five tickets costs ¥5,000. The main event (4pm-9pm) will feature a live jazz performance by musician Shin Sekaino at Swrl and will be followed by an afterparty that will run from 9pm to 1am.
