Only six hours from Tokyo, Bangkok has long been one of Asia's most popular tourist destinations, attracting travellers with traditional temples, late-night spas and cheap but delicious street eats. Also famed for its all-day party atmosphere, the Thai capital is now hotter than ever – and we're not talking about the tropical climate.

On May 18, this fast-rising hub of Southeast Asia got its own version of the world's leading city guide with the long-awaited launch of Time Out Bangkok. Letting both locals and tourists in on the very best things to do in Bangkok, the newest member of the global Time Out family is already looking like a serious upgrade over the clunky guidebooks of old.

The first issue of TOB focuses on the theme ‘Now and Next’, and features the new movers and shakers of Bangkok. Of course, you'll also find Time Out’s usual food, fashion, music and nightlife sections, written and edited by local experts. Check out their website for all the latest, or pick up a print mag at BTS Subway or MRT stations, major hotels, or the Central World and Siam Paragon shopping malls.
