This year marks a major milestone for Tokyo DisneySea, the second of Tokyo’s Disney parks, which opened in September 2001. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the ocean-themed park is going all out with a year-long ‘Sparkling Jubilee’, featuring special decorations, new shows, exclusive merchandise and more.

DisneySea’s Sparkling Jubilee officially kicked off on April 15, with the park decked out in ocean-inspired shades of blue, alongside appearances from Mickey and Minnie Mouse at the opening ceremony.

Some of the exciting new entertainment programmes include the ‘Dance the Globe!’ showcase, where Mickey and friends perform to music from around the world, and ‘Sparkling Jubilee Night’, which sees the walls of Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta transformed into a spectacular projection mapping show, complete with a special 25th anniversary theme song.

If you’re planning a visit this year, don’t miss the special anniversary merchandise, featuring sparkling designs in various shades of blue. The line-up includes Jubilee badges, charms, T-shirts, headbands, plush dolls, cookie tins and more.

You can also enjoy a Jubilee-themed food and drinks menu across the park, with plenty of blue-hued treats. Highlights include white chocolate Mickey macarons, a Jubilee blue ice cream sundae and blue lemonade with butterfly pea tea.
