Japanese comedian Pikotaro found worldwide fame in 2016 when his viral 45-second song 'Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen' broke the internet. The catchy tune doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but the combination of Pikotaro's gaudy dress sense, random lyrics and quirky moves had everyone obsessed.

With the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, Pikotaro has just released a fun new song about hand-washing. The new song, dubbed 'PPAP 2020', is reminiscent of the original 'PPAP' hit – the video even sees Pikotaro dressed in the same flashy outfit. This time around, the lyrics make a lot more sense and have a simple message: 'I have a hand, I have a soap. Uh! Wash! Wash! Wash!'

'PPAP 2020' was released on Sunday April 5 and has already garnered over 2.5 million views. Watch it below and don't forget to wash your hands.
