Walking around Tokyo, we’re constantly bombarded with billboards and advertisements wherever we go, so it’s rare for an ad to actually catch our eye. If you’ve travelled on the JR Yamanote line recently, you might have come across a very clever and cute ad campaign for Pokémon.

Promoting the fourth edition of the Pokémon Fit plushie collection, the campaign features stuffed Pokémon toys hanging in large plastic balls throughout the train cars. The unique banners have caused a frenzy on Twitter, with people eager to snap pics of them all on their daily commute.

Pokémon Fit are plush toys made to sit in the palm of your hand. Released on January 31, the fourth series includes 141 new monsters to the line-up, making a total of 419 Pokémon Fit plushies now available.

You can check out the entire Pokémon Fit collection and purchased all your favourites online here. For even more Pokémon, stop by the Pokémon Center at Shibuya Parco. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the original Pokémon games’ release in Japan, so expect to see even more pocket monsters popping up around the city.
