One of the top chocolate shops in Tokyo, Ken’s Cafe Tokyo has collaborated with FamilyMart once again to create a series of limited-edition desserts. The Shinjuku chocolate shop is famous for its decadent gateaux, but the shop's business hours which are limited to weekdays make it difficult for many people to get their hands on the signature chocolate cake.

The creation of these konbini desserts was supervised by Kenji Ujiie himself, head chef and founder of Ken’s Cafe. Though they are convenience store treats, all these desserts are made with bean-to-bar chocolate sourced from Ecuador.

Ken’s series of FamilyMart confectionery includes a classic eclair filled with chocolate cream (¥165) and a pudding made with chocolate and layered with fluffy mousse (¥230) for a silkier texture.

For something more sophisticated, get the chocolate-covered baumkuchen (¥190) and the crisp and nutty tart (¥198).

However, if you only get one thing from the selection, go straight for the single-portion gateau chocolat (¥198). This indulgent treat is similar Ken's Cafe Tokyo's signature gateau which sells for ¥3,000.

The chocolate desserts are now available at FamilyMart stores nationwide until stocks run out.
