Can't get tickets to the popular Ghibli Museum? Don't worry; you don't have to visit the museum shop for Totoro plushies and the anime studio's wide range of collectibles. If you’re looking to stock up on Ghibli merchandise while you’re in Japan, there's a chain of stores called Donguri Kyowakoku dedicated to all sorts of toys and souvenirs from the famed animation house, noted for blockbuster hits such as 'Spirited Away', 'My Neighbor Totoro', 'Howl's Moving Castle', and more.

The latest merchandise to hit the stores are these retro glass tumblers coined the ‘Vintage Glass' collection, where classic Ghibli scenes are given an American comic makeover. The comic inspiration comes in the form of bold, large text and colourful speech bubbles that complete the fun and vibrant graphics on each glass. They even come gift-ready, packaged in a stylish box with more comic-themed illustrations.

These 245ml glasses are 11cm tall, and they feature scenes from ‘Laputa: Castle in the Sky’, ‘Spirited Away’, ‘My Neighbour Totoro’, ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’, and more.

The tumblers retail at ¥950 each, and will be available from the end of May at Donguri Kyowakoku stores across Tokyo, including at Tokyo Station and Sunshine City in Ikebukuro.
