If afternoon tea is more your thing, treat yourself at the Asakusa View Hotel. The New Year’s afternoon tea plan comes with unlimited time to enjoy your tea rather than the usual two-hour limit, as well as a special souvenir that you can take home. The retro menu is inspired by the Showa era (1926-1989) and features classic kissaten café dishes like curry rice, neapolitan pasta, pizza toasts and kinako (roasted soybean powder) fried bread. Sweets include pudding a la mode, strawberry daifuku mochi, hotcakes and a classic strawberry shortcake.

Enjoy the first few days of the new year with a delicious meal from the Tokyu Rei Hotel in Kichijoji.
