Time Out Tokyo recently released the sixth edition of our 50 Things To Do in Yokohama guide map. Published in partnership with the city of Yokohama, the map features the city’s best tourist attractions and late-night activities.

Focusing on popular nightlife spots like Sakuragicho and Bashamichi, we’ve compiled a list of new venues you should check out, including hidden bars, hotels with exquisite views, a decadent parfait shop, and a theatre dedicated to traditional Japanese drama.

Here are five highlights from the guide map.

Noh and kyogen are both forms of classical drama. They are considered two of the world's oldest performing arts. The second Sunday of every month is Kyogen Day at Yokohama Noh Theater, when tickets go for just ¥2,200.

In the middle of Noge, Yokohama's old-school bar-hopping district, you’ll find Time, a four-storey grill-it-yourself barbecue izakaya. Wash down top quality wagyu with beer and cocktails on the rooftop, or settle in and catch a baseball match on the big screen.

Yokohama attracts many sports fans for baseball, football and rugby games, which are often held at Yokohama Stadium and Nissan Stadium, so we’ve included plenty of pubs and izakaya where you can visit to continue the post-match celebrations.

A ham and cheese purveyor turned late-night cafe, Milpig wows with its wild parfait selection. How about a combo of seasonal fruit, fresh cheese and prosciutto, perhaps paired with a glass of wine recommended by the resident sommelier?

Bar Casablanca, a long-established purveyor of fruit-based cocktails, is one of Yokohama's most venerable drinking dens. Taste some seasonal concoctions created by award-winning bartender Daiji Yamamoto, but keep it discreet – parties of five or more are turned away, politely of course.

Adjacent to the city's international cruise terminal, Yokohama Hammerhead is a cluster of 25 restaurants, which includes local ramen shops and a brewpub with a terrace featuring enviable harbour views. The building has become a symbol of the city since it opened in October 2019, and your trip just isn’t complete without a visit.
