Following on the success of the 2015 Art + Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon, the Art Gallery of Ontario Library & Archives hosts a quarterly series of Wikipedia editing sessions to continue the work. This is a chance to put the AGO's thousands of artist files and books to excellent use as reference material for building up Wikipedia content on wom*n artists – especially Canadian wom*n artists. Everyone is welcome and no Wikipedia editing experience is necessary – there will be tutorials and one-on-one coaching available. Come and take part, or just come and use the library and archives.

Please bring a laptop and create a Wikipedia account in advance.

* We use an asterisk inside the word woman and women to indicate that these terms represent a constructed category of gender that too often is conflated with assigned sex at birth. Our use of the asterisk is a reminder that not only cisgendered women (those who feel comfortable with that conflation) can affiliate with the “space" of woman and that it is an umbrella term that can and may include those who identify as transwomen, transgender women, transsexual women, genderqueer, gender fluid, non binary, genderless, a-gender, non-gendered, third gender, two-spirit and also trans men when and where those people want to be included under the category of wom*n.
