Asa Berezny & Brighid Fry met in Junior Kindergarten and became best friends. After a couple of years they ended up at different schools and eventually lost touch before re-connecting at a Junior Beekeepers class where they discovered they both had a passion for making music. Now they are both 13 years old and they have put out 3 albums between them and play together in the band Kingdom of Birds. Both girls played with the Hidden Cameras supporting the release of Joel Gibb's newest album “Home on Native Land”. Brighid has been called the “Tween Queen of Rock” by the Toronto Star and both Asa and Brighid are profiled in a new Kinnie Starr produced documentary on women in music called "Play Your Gender". They draw on influences as diverse as Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor and Serena Ryder.
