Thursday, August 4 - 9:30pm
Bad Dog Comedy Theatre (875 Bloor St. W. - upstairs)

A Tarot card reveals a symbol. The audience surrenders a reaction. The performer creates a story. The high-wire act of solo improv - the images are foretold, but the twists are unpredictable.

Game of Death premiered in 2012 in Graz, Austria, and has played sold out shows monthly ever since. The show has been welcomed in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Israel and Canada.

Jacob Banigan has been performing improv since 1990 and was Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre for ten seasons.

What critics have said:

"Ingenious improv from someone who knows what he's doing, when he doesn't know what to do. A real fluke!"
- Nina Müller, Kleine Zeitung

"Truly a champion's performance that must be seen. A fascinating dialogue with himself."
- Christoph Hartner, Kronen Zeitung

"More than funny, more than witty, downright artful."
- Edmo Journal

"An endless applause, standing ovations, trampling of feet and bravos attested how much the audience was carried away by this performance... This show will stay in memory – it wasn’t ominous and mystic, but brilliant and magic."
