GRAMMY®-nominated U.K. band Bastille will celebrate the September 9 release of its new album, Wild World (Virgin Records), with a short North American run.

Bastille has played numerous summer festivals, including Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Glastonbury, where their set drew one of the largest crowds of the festival and was praised by NME as “a masterclass in how to win Glastonbury.”

The band recently performed “Good Grief,” the first single from Wild World, on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The new album follows Bastille’s 2013 full-length debut, Bad Blood, which has sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles. Wild World is a collection of 14 songs (19 on the deluxe edition) penned by vocalist Dan Smith and co-produced with Mark Crew. Fans who pre-order the new album digitally will instantly receive the tracks “Good Grief” and “Fake It.”

“Good Grief” is already a Top 10 hit at Alternative and Triple A radio in the U.S. In the U.K., the track reached No. 1 on Apple Music’s Hot Tracks chart, topped the Shazam chart and is currently the No. 2 airplay song. It’s also charted on Spotify’s Global, U.S. and U.K. Charts.

Idolator observed, “Bastille is making a play for the Song of the Summer crown with new single ‘Good Grief’… with [its] bouncy, wistful melody, the track has the potential to easily dominate the pop radio waves in the months to come.” DIY Magazine hailed the track as “Bastille at their most playful and confident…Bonkers voiceovers, almost gospel backing vocals and a chorus to rival even that of ‘Pompeii’ - Bastille are hurtling into their second album with crashing momentum.”

Dan Smith started Bastille alone in his bedroom five years ago, releasing 300 copies of debut single “Flaws/Icarus.” Joined by Chris Wood (drums), Will Farquarson (guitar) and Kyle Simmons (keyboards), the band line-up was complete. Bastille’s debut album, Bad Blood, contained the 5x Platinum single “Pompeii” and the Gold-certified tracks “Bad Blood” and “Flaws.” “Pompeii” topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Adult Alternative Songs charts and peaked at No. 3 on the Pop Songs chart.
