PATRICK WARNER was born in Claremorris, Co. Mayo, Ireland in 1963. He has published four collections of poetry: All Manner of Misunderstanding (Killick Press, 2001), There, there (Signal Editions, 2005), Mole (House of Anansi Press, 2009), and Perfection (Goose Lane/Ice House, 2012). He has also published two novels: Double Talk (Breakwater, 2011) and One Hit Wonders (Breakwater, 2015). He is the rare books and special collections librarian for Memorial University Libraries.

KATE CAYLEY’s poetry and short stories have appeared in literary magazines across the country. Her play, After Akhmatova, was produced by Tarragon Theatre (Toronto), where she is a playwright-in-residence, and a young adult novel, The Hangman in the Mirror, was published by Annick Press in 2011. Brick Books published her first poetry collection, When This World Comes to an End. How You Were Born (Pedlar, 2014) is Cayley's first collection of short fiction. It won the 2015 Trillium Book Award, was a Finalist for the 2015 Governor General's Award for Fiction and was long-listed for the Frank O'Connor Short Fiction Prize (Cork, Ireland).

KEVIN HARDCASTLE is a fiction writer from Simcoe County, Ontario. He studied writing at the University of Toronto and at Cardiff University. Hardcastle was a finalist for the 24th annual Journey Prize in 2012, and his short stories have been published in Word Riot, subTerrain, Noir Nation, The Malahat Review, The Fiddlehead, Little Fiction, The Puritan, The New Quarterly, EVENT, PRISM international, Joyland, This Magazine, Shenandoah, The Walrus, and The Journey Prize Stories 24 & 26. He also has short fiction forthcoming in Best Canadian Stories 15. Hardcastle’s debut short story collection, Debris, is published by Biblioasis (Sept 2015 - CAN, February 9th - USA). His novel, In the Cage, will also be published by Biblioasis in fall 2016
