SHIVAUN HOAD grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where her father taught her how to keep bees, pick up crayfish and identify scat. She now lives in Toronto, shunning all wildlife. His non-fiction work has been published in BBC News, Vice, Quill & Quire, Broken Pencil, the Globe & Mail, High Times and many more. He still sometimes hums the Nightmare on Elm Street lullaby.

SARAH TOLMIE is the author of the novel The Stone Boatmen, the short fiction collection NoFood, and now the two-novella collection Two Travelers, all from Aqueduct Press. All three earned starred reviews in Publishers’ Weekly and praise from Locus and Strange Horizons. She is also the author of the poetry collection Trio, shortlisted for the 2015 Pat Lowther Award. In her other life she is a professor of British literature and creative writing at the University of Waterloo.
