Drop-in from 12-5pm

Join curator Tak Pham on Saturday, November 5 and Saturday, November 19 from 12-5pm for drop-in tours of our latest exhibition, Logs.

Tak Pham is a Toronto-based curator, art writer and architectural historian whose focuses are on the multiple forms of post-internet art, and their relationships with contemporary urban and architectural histories. His curatorial works have been seen at Art Toronto 2015, Montgomery’s Inn, OCAD University’s galleries, Y+ Contemporary and Xpace Cultural Centre. He holds a BA Hons. in History and Theory of Architecture from Carleton University, and an MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from OCAD University.

Featuring works by Rouzbeh Akhbari + Ash Moniz, Benny Hunter, and Mariam Magsi, Logs explores how personal identity affects our ways of moving through space and places, and how these movements form our perceptions of reality. Examining the theme of movement, migration, trade of both humans and nonhumans that are fueled by the demands of hyper-capitalism, Logs gestures at the Canadian history of logging (a practice that fueled capitalism and supported colonialism), the use of logs and rafts as a mode of transportation across water and land, and the material logs that archive various histories of movements.

Logs runs until November 19. For more information, visit
