Dancing the Temple Goddesses

The Goddess is a symbol of empowerment, she is a reminder of our ancient roots; that once in ancient times, temples to the Goddess could be found everywhere, where she was revered and celebrated. The Goddess is a sacred role model that we can turn to for divine guidance.

For 5 Sundays we will come together in circle to dance and rebuild our connection to the Goddess.

Saraswati Goddess of wisdom (Jan 8th)
Parvarti Goddess of love and devotion (Feb 5th)
Maya Goddess of illusion through which the material world manifests (March 5th)
Shakti Goddess of empowerment (April 2nd)
Lakshmi Goddess of abundance, Goddess of light (May 7th)
*Come to the full serries or just to one sunday, you choose*

Dancing the Goddess
We will open our time together in circle, co-creating our altar and setting our intentions. Through ritual, art and meditation we will invoke our connection to the Goddess. As we journey deeper, we will dance to embody the essence of the Goddess. Closing our journey with reflection and sharing, in a circle of loving sisterhood. During each months circle we will learn the mudra and mantra corresponding to the Goddess; as well as key characteristics so that we may use them for guidance in our daily lives.

About the Dance
Liz will lead a DJ'ed dance (a fusion of Ecstatic Dance & DOWH non-facilitated and lightly facilitated practice) for deep connection and expansion and exploration.
Ecstatic Dance is a unique freestyle dance experience, guided by music. There are three simple basic guidelines to Ecstatic Dance. We dance barefoot. Silent Space. No drugs or alcohol. What is Dance Our Way Home (DOWH)?
"DOWH supports women to embrace and celebrate our Sacred Feminine, to be free from restraints, to be enamoured by our own breath and dance, and to fall head over heels in love with our self and with everything and everyone" - Erica Ross co-founder of DOWH
