// Deon Blyan Music

After spending the last decade in Calgary Alberta, Deon has begun a new chapter in Toronto. Previous releases, Lessons (And Other Things Learned) (2007) and Turning to Wave (2011) celebrated modest success with regular airplay on CKUA, CBC and college radio as well as tour stops across Canada with frequent live forays to NYC. Deon’s new album, Chapter Forty (Dec 2016), maintains the strong melodic Folk and Americana sounds heard on previous releases, but the subject mater and tone is decidedly more melancholy and minor key’d. Warm ethereal sounds of 70’s influenced country, roots rock, and folk drip off of this collection of songs, beautifully produced by Aaron Goldstein (City and Colour, Daniel Romano, Lee Harvey Osmond) of Baldwin Street Sound.

// Steve Gleason

Steve Gleason began performing as a solo act on small stages around Toronto, channeling his favourite artists (Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry...). After not too long, he started writing his own material and assembled a band of his musician friends to back him up. 12 of his originals are now recorded for you to hear on his new album ‘Out of Dust.’ Like many of the artists he admires, Steve keeps the words at the forefront of his songs. Two of these songs are done by him alone with his guitar, while the rest are helped along by the creative musicianship of his very talented bandmates.
