Designing Our Shared Landscape says
The City of Toronto has a list of valiant efforts: the Pan Am buildings in the West Don Lands, Evergreen Brick Works, Regent Park. To what extent have these been urban planning victories? Torontonians can also be excited as they look towards the future, with projects such as East Bayfront underway and “Under Gardiner” on the horizon.

Spur asks how can Toronto build community through creative use of public space; what role should the private sector, government, institutions play in the process; and how is the public voice heard?

Speakers include Moderator Hamutal Dotan, Focus editor, The Globe and Mail; Greg Spearn, president and interim CEO, Toronto Community Housing; Joe Berridge, partner, Urban Strategies; and Meg Graham, Principal, SuperKül.

Opening poet: Phoebe Wang

General Admission: $15 advance/ $17 at the door
