A line of flight, a means of escape, a divergent branch. Making art has always been a way to explore the boundaries of thought, feeling, and habitat. Too often, our possibilities for ideas and emotions are limited by the inventory of our vocabulary. Lauguageless, art offers the opportunity to feel and think beyond the territory of our own words. The artists in this show are agile explorers, negotiating a myriad of material possibilities and branchings of ideas.

This collection of artwork reaches for the wilderness of the indescribable: a space where materials can diverge from their everyday configurations and find new ways of performing to viewers. Guided by material explorations, and a strong drive for escape, the artists in this show find ways to reconfigure the domestic and the urban, exposing a vast hinterland of thoughts unthought and feelings unfelt.
